Sumitra Aswani is a fourth generation family business member who recently assumed the role of executive director at her family foundation. The newly incorporated Ishk Tolaram Foundation focuses on issues related to education, skills training and financial independence in vulnerable groups in Indonesia and Nigeria. Prior to her current appointment, Sumitra trained as a medical doctor in Singapore, where she held both clinical and policy-related positions with an interest in family and community medicine.
