Paul KleinschmidtPortfolio Manager, Tocqueville Asset Management
Tocqueville Asset Management was founded in 1985 to manage the financial affairs of a select few families. The firm now employs 125 people in offices in New York City, San Francisco and Florida and presently has $13 billion in assets under management. The Kleinschmidt family is the majority owner of the firm, and Paul represents the second generation of ownership. Also, there are a number of partners whose children now work at Tocqueville as well as part of a multi-generational approach to forging an enduring family business.

Paul J. Kleinschmidt is a Portfolio Manager at Tocqueville Asset Management L.P. Prior to joining Tocqueville in 2010, Mr. Kleinschmidt was a securities analyst covering industrial and transportation companies at New York City based Argus Research. He began his career as a research analyst for the London based hedge fund, Clareville Capital Partners LLP. Mr. Kleinschmidt earned a B.A. in Economics from Denison University. He presently serves on the Board of Trustees at the French Institute – Alliance Francaise.
