GEORGE TAHIJACOMMISSIONER, PT AUSTINDO NUSANTARA JAYA
George S. Tahija is a Commissioner and Chairman of the Risk Management Committee of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJT), an Indonesian holding company publicly listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Mr. Tahija is a member of the Global Advisory Council of the Darden School, University of Virginia, and the founder and Chairman of the Coral Triangle Center (CTC) Board of Trustees. He is a founding member and Trustee of the Dharma Bermakna Foundation, dedicated to education, and the “Sekolah Mandiri Association” that operates a K-12 school in Jakarta. George is the chairman of the The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Indonesia Foundation, a member of the TNC Asia Pacific Council, and a World Presidents’ Organization (WPO) Indonesia Chapter member.

He is an author of A Walk in the Clouds (2005) and a photographer for Land of Water, Vol. I, From Bali to Komodo (2006). In the past five years, he has summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, Carstensz Pyramid, Indonesia and Mt. Elbrus, Russia. He holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from Trisakti University and an M.B.A from the Darden School, University of Virginia.
