Founded in 1990, it brings together over 3,200 families, 10,000 individual members including 4,000 Next-Generation members – across 29 chapters covering 65 countries worldwide. FBN helps enterprising families grow, succeed and prosper through the exchange of best practices and new ideas.
Being by families, for families, FBN creates a safe space in which family business learn from each other and share the passion they have for their family and their enterprises, and how to reconcile these two passions.
Prior to FBN, Alexis worked for various family businesses in senior positions, including Group Lhoist, Verlinvest and Armonea, a leading elderly care group in Europe. He was also Senior Investment Officer at the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) in the Treasury, Infrastructure, and Small Business Departments. For 6 years, he was Chairman of the Board of ToolBox, a non-profit organisation that aims to support and improve the management structures of associations by offering professional consultancy. He is currently member of the Board of Family Business International Foundation and member of the Advisory Board of Mind & Life Europe.
A Belgian citizen, Alexis holds a Master in Management Science from Solvay Business School and is an INSEAD IEP Graduate.
